PRESERVING AMERICA TIME TO ANSWER THE CALL?

I've been thinking about this all day -- and I was going to wait to post it, but some of your comments to my two previous posts compel me to share this with you sooner rather than later.

It's a viable solution to this question:

"Am I going to have to hold my nose and vote Republican AGAIN in 2008 to make sure a Hillary or Obama doesn't get elected President?"

Here's the answer. It comes in an appeal to our fighting men and women home from the war in Iraq and Afghanistan to pick up the mantle and run for public office. It comes from the website of the National Veterans Coalition.

When our Vets answer the call, will YOU be there to help them achieve Victory? Will YOU do your part to preserve America? As the commercial goes: "Think about it. Whaddya got to lose?"

Once again, it is time to fight for your country. You trained for combat, and many of you went to war. Some of your comrades never returned. You served our country so that we would avert the ravages of war within our borders. Because of you, our fellow citizens remain free and secure in the greatest nation on Earth.

That all changed on “9-11”, when an evil enemy crossed America’s boundaries, and then rained death upon our people and destruction upon our national infrastructure. Veterans will never again tolerate the policy failures that allowed “9-11” to happen. We cannot ignore the invasion of our country by illegal aliens. We also cannot ignore continued terrorism. Your service was, and remains, devoted to preserving America. That goal must stand.

It is an indisputable fact that at least 20 million illegal aliens have invaded our country — through insecure borders — since 1989. Illegal aliens continue to pour across our borders at an estimated rate of 4,000 per night!

How many of those aliens are terrorists? How many are intent upon detonating one of the 100 missing Soviet “suitcase nukes”, or attacking us with chemical or biological weapons? How many of those illegal aliens are thieves, rapists or murderers? How many are carrying diseases? (New diseases, with no known cure, are being discovered by the medical profession. Such diseases could function as weapons of mass destruction.).

Thousands of dollars are being confiscated — from you — every tax year to support the illegal aliens in our over-burdened hospital emergency rooms, and in our overcrowded and failing schools, jails, and prisons. How many illegal alien welfare cheats are using fraudulent documents to tap already short State and Federal welfare funds to get food stamps and other benefits?

VETERANS, without secure borders, the answers are obvious and frightening. National security is threatened. Political statements, such as, “We have not been attacked since 9/11,” or, “It’s only a matter of time until we are hit again,” are not statements of responsible National Terrorism Prevention leadership. Our borders must be immediately sealed by active duty military personnel if we want further acts of terrorism against the United States to stand a reasonable chance of being prevented. Most veterans know this.

However, unless America’s military veterans band together and become a political force at the ballot box, our country’s sovereignty will be lost at the hands of failed politicians. Those who place party loyalty, campaign cash, personal gain, political power, or a personal agenda above national security matters cannot be trusted. We have fought to preserve America’s security, economy, culture, and future. Veterans, we must band together once more — this time, at the ballot box.

The Constitution Party will be a strong voter option at the 2008 ballot box. Together, we can correct the several grave National Security Issues now facing America — our country.
