There are two ways to live your lifeOne is as though nothing is a miracle
The other is as though everything is a miracle
-- Albert Einstein
There was a time in my youthful liberal years when I thought abortion was an OK thing. I had a friend who aborted her pregnancy because she was scared, and certainly not prepared to be a parent. We lived in Massachusetts where, at the time it was still an illegal procedure. So she crossed state lines and aborted her child in nearby New York state. She was a "good kid" from a single parent home who unfortunately made two bad decisions. I'm not sure her mother even knew.
We went our separate ways. Years passed and as we approached our high school reunion, I reconnected with her. What I found was a very depressed young woman, filled with regret. The guilt wore her down. Very sad.
In my teens, many were faced with similar situations. It was the "dawning of the Age of Aquarius" - and we were swept up in the "tune in, turn on, drop out" movement of our generation. For many who were looking for fun, things didn't turn out feeling so "groovy". When some stumbled and fell, their parents were there for them (God bless them), and through the sacrifice of adoption, they gave their precious babies a better chance at life with loving parents who yearned for a child of their own. There was peace in that decision, allowing them to move on with their lives, knowing they had made the tough but ultimately best choice for the child.
A nod to Confederate Yankee for alerting me to this piece in Thursday's Wall Street Journal. We now know about in-utero development, that a fetus is not a blob of tissue. It is a gestating human, a miniature of ourselves, and whether we call it a fetus or an infant, a baby or a child, this tiny little package can survive outside the womb as young as 21 weeks! It is a precious gift, a divine promise that humanity will live on. Whatever the circumstances of its conception, this tiny bit of humanity is an innocent and is owed our fiercest protection.
So this is where I'm coming from when I tell you that I think Obama is the wrong choice to lead our nation. Thursday evening I interviewed Jack Cashill about an article he wrote today regarding Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. Ms. Sebelius, you may recall, has been bandied about as a potential running mate with Barack Obama. However, under her term, Kansas has become THE abortion center of America. Because of that she's radioactive and will likely be passed over for any further serious consideration. But it's hypocritical because Barack is pro-choice, all the way, baby.
What kind of a man promises the first thing he'll do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would overturn hundreds of federal and state laws limiting abortion, including the federal ban on partial-birth abortion and bans on public funding of abortion? What kind of a man?
What kind of a man nods approvingly at euthanasia? Who if given the opportunity, would make it easier to rid the taxpayer rolls of the elderly and infirm?
Daniel Allott, a writer at American Values, wrote a piece that appears in Thursday's Wall Street Journal. He notes that Obama has compiled a 100% lifetime "pro-choice" voting record, including votes against any and all restrictions on late-term abortions and parental involvement in teenagers' abortions.
Obama, a man with two children of his own, believes that abortion, or "reproductive justice" is "one of the most fundamental rights we possess." He opposes laws that protect babies born alive during botched abortions.
What kind of a man says he regrets voting for legislation that allowed Terri Schiavo's family to take its case from state courts to federal courts in an effort to stop her euthanasia, and says it was his "biggest mistake" in the Senate? Imagine if one day one of his beloved daughters is in a similar situation?
It makes me wonder just how much Obama values human life... yours or mine, on either end of the life spectrum. If my time on this planet has taught me anything, it is how very precious life is. From the moment egg meets sperm until the final passage into the hereafter, our Constitution guarantees us our God-given rights. Among those, the pursuit of life. What kind of a man thinks otherwise?

As usual, excellent work!! The pics are priceless.
I love that photo of the baby on the flag.
Your assessment of Obama is pretty accurate. You treat his position too civilly. Obama's support of abortion is fanatical and unnatural. He's so far left on the abortion issue. He's to the left of the abortion-on-demand people.

I think the term you're looking for is 'godless'.
And this correlates well with Obama's 'churching' over the last 20 years. Which, in and of itself, is a 'key indicator'.
Senator Obama is, in my considered opinion, no more a Christian than Saddam Hussein was a Muslim.
RE: The Little Children
As Christ put it, "Suffer the little children to come unto Me, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven. He who will not accept one of these little ones in My name shall not enter therein," or words to that effect. The point being that children are precious. And those who do them harm are in grave danger themselves.
I do not worry so much for these, the most innocent of us all who are murdered by their mothers and the so-called 'doctors' who aid them. I am confident that He can deal with them, no matter what happened. I am equally confident that He can deal with those who murdered them.
