Arena League Tebow, Tim Tebow's NFL future may be in doubt, but that doesn't mean he'll have to worry about finding a job playing football.
Mike Bianchi of the Orlando Sentinel recently wrote an article about why Tebow, who is working out in Florida, should stay in Orlando to play for the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football League. Predators owner Brett Bouchy admitted he would love to have the former Heisman Trophy winner. Reported Bleacher Report...
Tim would certainly want to first exhaust his opportunities in the NFL, but we'd love to have him...Kurt Warner told me once that when he got back to the NFL after playing in the Arena League, the NFL game was like slow motion...Whenever Tim is willing, we have a contract waiting for him to sign.
Even though he is still under contract with the New York Jets, Tebow certainly doesn't seem to have much of a future with the team. Rex Ryan showed no faith in him as a player, much less as a quarterback, in 2012.
As of this moment, no one has publicly expressed a desire to trade for Tebow. Last year, after Denver signed Peyton Manning and acknowledged it was going to deal Tebow, there wasn't exactly a budding market to bring him in.
One year with minimal playing time, not to mention the constant questioning about him, has made Tebow an even bigger pariah in the NFL than he was before. Teams seem reluctant to deal with the constant media presence and pressure that comes with Tebow.
It also doesn't help that Tebow has never really proven himself to be a capable NFL quarterback. Any other quarterback in the NFL with a career completion percentage under 48 would be laughed out of the league.
Yet, Tebow has his fans because of what he did at Florida and the one playoff game he had with Denver two years ago.
Moving to the Arena League, while it would be an obvious step down from the NFL, could be what Tebow needs. It would give him an opportunity to play every week, try to hone his craft and get another shot in the NFL—and he could still make money doing public appearances.
It is hard to imagine Tebow actually deciding to play in the Arena Football League, but as they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. Tolong Share ya ^^
